Industrial Photography-Mechanical Systems

Rocky Mountain Mechanical Systems

Not unlike a portrait photographer, whose client must let their guard down to insure a meaningful portrait, commercial and industrial photographers are privileged to see behind the curtain.  When doing industrial photography, I always bear in mind two things.  The client wants to see a clean pictures and the client needs to illustrate real-life circumstances in their imagery.  Sometimes we have to repaint equipment in post editing, sweep the floor or take the dings out of metal surfaces.  But a small amount of retouching doesn’t mean the industrial photographs don’t represent reality.  It just means that a professional photographer wasn’t commissioned when the equipment was new.
