Corporate Photography for WPX Energy in Denver Colorado

Being a professional photographer is always fun but some corporate photo-shoots are even more fun than normal.  The WPX Energy corporate photo-shoot was a blast!

Janet Huchteman from WPX called me a few weeks ago looking for some executive portrait photography and corporate/business head-shots in location environmental settings.  After initially  scouting their offices in downtown Denver we decided to photograph all six executives in a one day corporate photo-shoot.  I was thrilled to have the incredible Suzanne Blons to do make up.  Here are just a few.

Professional executive photography need not be conservative. Some critics may not prefer the shots with the reflection, but I like it.

I love the more traditional Karsh-like feel to these executive portraits.

The slight low angle of this business portrait makes for an interesting composition.

Denver snow in May isn’t really that rare, but Thursday May 1st 2013 was a record cold at 17f.  Denver photographers were out in force and everyone with a clever phone was posting Denver snow pictures on social media (face-book).

On assignment doing Denver corporate photography in downtown, I felt compelled of course, to document the May treat.  Did I say treat.  Well after the long drought and last year’s wildfires, even warm clime imports and other sissies are hip to what Colorado has been sorely needing.  April snows and now May’s have been a boon to skiing and have gone a long way filling near-empty reservoirs.

The first pic below was done this morning while on assignment for corporate photography for SFC Energy at the 17th Plaza building.  The snowy Denver photographs were done on May 1st relating to a corporate photo-shoot for WPX Energy and the piles of snow on Denver street come last Thursday April 25 when I was doing an executive photo-shoot in Downtown Denver for WPX.

Doing corporate head shots and photographic portraits Intrawest in Denver was an awesome photo-shoot.  Intrawest is a leader in the development and management of experiential destination resorts. The Company has a network of resorts at North America’s most popular mountain destinations including Mont Tremblant Ski Resort, Steamboat Ski & Resort, Winter Park Resort, Snowshoe Mountain and Stratton Mountain.

Creative head shots and corporate executive portraits are interesting in a square format.

Some clients still enjoy black and white corporate portraits. So do I.

It was an extreme pleasure to photograph the business portraits and head shots for the Pikes Peak Law Firm in colorado Springs.  Josh McDowell and Steven Rodemer were perfect hosts at their law firm in Colorado Springs.
